Learning spaces
MaCHO’s long-term vision includes literacy resources and spaces where children and adults can keep learning.

Why this work matters
In rural northern Sierra Leone, distance and cost can turn a treatable illness into a crisis.
The communities we serve
MaCHO serves Yurika, Manak and the surrounding villages of Lokomasama Chiefdom. These communities are home to farming and fishing families who have too often had to travel long distances for basic medical attention.
The Yurika clinic is a trusted, local place for screening, treatment, medicine, maternal support and referrals when a patient needs more specialized care.

A permanent response
A wider vision

MaCHO’s long-term vision includes literacy resources and spaces where children and adults can keep learning.

Programs can support skills, confidence and income opportunities for women in the community.

The future includes education, community gathering spaces and local infrastructure built around the people who live here.
Your support makes this possible.
Together, we can reach more villages and save more lives.
